Lead slime and other high-grade lead oxide materials can be reduced and smelted in a rotary furnace to obtain crude lead products for sale or for refining before sale.<br />
In the rotary furnace, the reaction is carried out at a high temperature and in a reducing atmosphere. PbSO4 in lead slime is decomposed and then reduced to crude lead, and other metal impurities become slag. They are statically stratified in the rotary furnace. The crude lead at the bottom flows out and can be casted into large ingots for sale.
